This Year's Highlights
This year has been a great one for Houlton and our community with various events taking place. With our sponsorship of Rugby Music Festival, win at The Pineapple Awards and Ukrainian meet and greet– our community really came together this year.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
We are proud of our track record for community engagement in Rugby. Local Parish Councils, community groups, elected members and neighbouring residents are amongst our wider network of partners. They come with us on the journey and help steer us in creating a place that truly fits with Rugby and its existing communities.
News & Events
Houlton, Rugby is progressing well, with EV charging, allotments and formal open space, and measures to reduce embodied carbon in infrastructure projects. We have welcomed over 850 residents to the development and have a way to go until our 6,200 total dwellings.
ORGANISATIONS
We have worked with the Old Mortonians and Hillmorton Locks to sponsor their community fun day aimed at encouraging local engagement with the canal community. We are a regular attendee of Clifton-upon-Dunsmore Parish Council and are working with them on a traffic calming scheme through the village. Elected members in the wards of Hillmorton, Eastlands and Paddox help us keep the larger community in and around Hillmorton connected and informed, and we have also supported initiatives with the Fareham Youth Trust and Rugby Round Table amongst others.
PARTNERSHIPS
We work closely with local, regional and national stakeholders to deliver our vision for RadioStation Rugby. Rugby Borough Council and Warwickshire County Council are our closest partners – with strategic oversight for all aspects of planning, education, employment, health, transport, community safety and housing. We also have a close working relationship with the government’s Homes and Communities and Department for Communities and Local Government, Natural England, Department for Education and English Heritage.
